Changes to this Privacy Notice

This privacy notice was updated on November 1, 2023.

Who we are

At the One Moment Company, Ltd, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website and use of our app. In particular, we want you to know that we are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We don’t do that sort of thing.

Note that currently our mobile app does not collect any user data (though Google Play and Apple may collect data about your download from their stores).

In this privacy policy, we will explain in simple language what information we collect and why, how we keep it secure, and your options to maintain and delete it.

Types of data we collect

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enable the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We also share information about your use of our site with our trusted social media, advertising and analytics partners.

On this site, we only use the following:

Session Cookies

These are necessary just to ensure a consistent experience while you use our site. They do not identify you, and when you stop visiting our site, they are not maintained on your computer.

Google Analytics Cookies

When someone visits this website, we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Google Privacy and Terms

Facebook & Social Media Cookies

We also use third-party social media services on our website in the forms of buttons, plugins and pixels that connect you to social networks in various ways. For these to work, social media sites — including Facebook — may set cookies through our website which can be used to enhance information on their site or contribute to the data they hold for various purposes as outlined in their respective privacy policies.

Mailing List sign ups

If you choose to sign up for one of our email newsletters, you submit to us your name and email address. You may also indicate some preferences as to which newsletters you wish to receive, or what your interests are. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check that our records are right; and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent, share, or sell our email lists with any other organizations or businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Keap (fka Infusionsoft), to deliver our newsletter and process your email information and newsletter preferences. Through Keap, we gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Infusionsoft’s relevant privacy notices:

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.  Note that even once unsubscribed, your data is preserved in Keap as a record that you have unsubscribed.

Contact information

If you contact us via an online form, we keep your data only in order to fulfill your request, or in order to maintain a historical record of your customer service request. We do not add that data to a mailing list without your explicit consent.

Course Participation Data

The One Moment Company operates several online courses in which users participate and sign up on a voluntary basis. The information processed by these courses may be more extensive than discussed in this general policy. We are nonetheless committed to keeping your data secure. The courses we operate fall under two types:

Open Access Courses

We are not currently selling any open access courses.

Employer Accessed Courses

If you have signed up for one of our workplace courses, you have done this through the invitation of your employer, and via a process that your employer manages. Because of this, there may be different data retention and reporting requirements for these courses, as per our agreement with your employer. This means, for example, that some of your activity on the site (such as the number of lessons accessed) might be reported to your employer, or we analyze this information in order to provide you with a Completion Certificate. Please see the privacy policy that is provided on your particular course for more information.

Access to your personal information

Subject to the above, you are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer through this contact form and we will respond within two business days.
